“武雄温泉”は英語でなんて言う？
Misako: Do you know the meaning of "Takeo Onsen"?
Steven: Of course, I know "Takeo" but what is "Onsen"?
Misako: Onsen means hot spring.
Steven: Oh, I see.
Misako: There are more than 10 hot-spring hotels in Takeo.
Steven: I've read that there are more than 2000 hot springs all over Japan.
Misako: That's right! Japanese people go to hot springs for leisure and on weekend trips.
Steven: No wonder there are so many hot springs.

Misako: 「タケオ オンセン」はどんな意味か知ってる？
Steven: もちろん、「武雄」は知っているよ。　でも、「オンセン」って何？
Misako: 「オンセン」は温泉の意味よ。
Steven: ああ、なるほどね。
Misako: 武雄には１０軒以上の温泉宿があるわよ。
Steven: 日本中には２０００以上の温泉があると読んだことがあるよ。
Misako: その通り。　日本人はレジャーや週末旅行で温泉に行くのよ。
Steven:　だから、温泉がそんなにたくさんあるんだ。

A TV drama "Saga no Gabai Bachan" was filmed in Taoke in 2006.
テレビドラマ「佐賀のがばいばあちゃん」が２００６年に武雄で撮影されました。
It was broadcasted in January, 2007 and brought a nation-wide "Gabai Bachan" boom to Takeo.
２００７年１月に放映されて、全国的な“がばいばあちゃんブーム”を武雄にもたらしました。
